Nichole Verdejo is the Vice Chair of the D.C. Commission on Fashion, Events, and Arts and the founder of Sole Wash—Washington D.C.’s first woman-owned sneaker laundry dedicated to sneaker restoration, cleaning, and recycling. Her journey began in Laurel, Maryland, where she co-founded Footage, a sneaker boutique that sparked her passion for sneaker culture and care.

With over six years in the business, Nichole has led collaborations with the Smithsonian African American Museum, WNBA Mystics, and over 200 local businesses. Sole Wash isn't just a service—it’s a movement centered on sustainability, preservation, and community impact.
